Last week was a tragic and heartbreaking time for the city of Orlando. From the attack of a downtown Orlando nightclub that left 49 dead, to the fatal shooting of singer Christina Grimmie, and finally the alligator attack that killed a 2 year old playing on the beach of a Walt Disney World lagoon, Orlando took one hit after another.
In the wake of these national news headlines, many of our clients and friends are wondering how travel to Orlando will be affected in the short-term and long-term future. We were fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to share our perspective on this discussion with the Associated Press last week.
AP travel reporter Beth Harpaz contacted Cindy Minor late last week and asked for an interview. The questions Harpaz had for Cindy were about what kinds of turns in business Small World Big Fun has seen since the tragedies in Orlando.
Cindy shared with Harpaz that none of Small World Big Fun’s clients have canceled their trips since last week.
Cindy said that she does not believe in letting tragic events like these stop you from living and traveling. She doesn’t want her clients to let this stop them from making memories with their families.
