“In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and — snap! — the job’s a game!” – Mary Poppins
For Elizabeth Stevens her love of all things Disney became just that. As a military wife and mother of two, Elizabeth knows what it is like to be running kids between church classes, soccer, swim lessons and deployments. Oh, and let’s not forget the 101 runs to the grocery store, athletic store, and the Disney Store that occur during the week. In the midst of all the hustle and bustle, Elizabeth has always found great joy in planning Disney vacations for her families and friends. After planning so many trips for family and friends, it was time Elizabeth made that fun a job. “I truly love that Disney treats everyone like family.”
As a member of the military community Elizabeth knows how important it is for the entire family to regroup and de-stress after deployment. Upon her husband’s most recent return from combat, a Disney Cruise was just the answer. “The cruise was so relaxing! There is something for everyone. We spent time together as a family, but the kids loved the Oceaneer’s Club so much, there was time for me to spend time in the spa, and my husband got to practice his golf swing on the virtual sports simulators.”
Some of Elizabeth’s most cherished memories are of family trips to Disney during the fall. Halloween in the Magic Kingdom can make any person giddy. Seeing the amazing decorations, taking pictures with all the characters dressed in their Halloween costumes, and seeing the Headless Horseman ride down Main Street USA make Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party a must-do on any bucket list.
Elizabeth’s favorite tip for families visiting the Magic Kingdom for the first time: Don’t forget to stop by Sleepy Hollow for a Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich!
